Suprapubic Liposculpture
DESCRIPTION
In some patients, there are evident and an abundant amount of supra-pubic adipose panniculus, this can exceed the dermal insertion of the penis, leading to the penis visually looking shorter than it is. This condition is mostly restricted to overweight patients. However, normal weight or even under-weight patients can also suffer from this caused by personal characteristics of adipose accumulation zones.
In a case were penile lengthening involves supra-pubic adipose panniculus, this technique helps in the reduction of fat, most especially pubic fat using cannulas that are thin and fitted with a vibrating mechanism that helps in fat dissolution and then aspiration of excess fat.

In recent times, procedures for sculpting and contouring the body have become very popular, and most men desire it to improve their physical appearance. The enlarged suprapubic fat pad and the overlying tissues around the pubic region have become a cause of concern for most men because it reduces the length of their penis. This condition can also occur due to weight gain and age, bringing about redundant tissue. These issues as earlier mentioned can cause a reduced penile length.
To correct this condition, Liposculpture is usually performed in the area. Redundant and aesthetically displeasing fat and skin are removed surgically. The area is also lifted to give it a better appearance and this procedure can be done together with the penile lengthening and enlargement.
A cannula is used to remove fat deposit locally, and the procedure can be done under general, sedation or local anesthetic condition. It is also an outpatient procedure which can be combined with other cosmetic surgeries.
