After months of researching dental and cosmetic procedures in Mexico, I got a call from Karen from MMV in Cancun. (Coincidentally we were going to Cancun the following week). I mentioned our imminent vacation and she suggested we meet one of their dentists and one of their cosmetic surgeons while we were there.
Hesitantly we decided to do it! Everything was arranged for us we were picked up at hotel and taken to our appointment. Sunset Dental exceeded all on expectations and Dr. Torres just blew us away with his calm professionalism and his clear explanation of his thoughts and techniques. We were given time to ask many questions on we liked and were escorted through the entire morning by Betty Karen and Ana who all helped with the translation and comfort factor.
Returning home to Canada, we decided on our wish list and with total comfort put our trust in MMV to arrange our procedures. My husband needed extensive dental work and I want to have a tummy tuck and breast lift/reduction. Fast forward Nov 13, 2017, we arrived in Cancun to start this incredible experience!
MMV met us at the airport I was taken for blood work on our way to the hotel, La Quinta (recommended by MMV) it’s convenient and clear and the breakfast is a plus! Next morning I had on EKG and the clearance to proceed by another Dr.
There the following morning and was picked up and taken to the hospital for my first surgery. Every step of the way I was treated with the utmost respect and dignity by everyone I came in contact with DR. Torres is a master of his profession. He takes longer than the average surgeon to perfect his craft and make his patients look and feel the best they can ever be. The man is a genius!
Post-surgery, my days have been almost painless and the results are already overwhelming. If you are slightly hesitant about anything contact Katie. She will answer all your questions quickly and honestly. She has a wealth of experience to share. She is a lot of fun too….
Karen started the ball tolling for us and has been with us every step of the way. Ana Our nurse is a total diamond. She stayed with me every night I was in the hospital and has visited us every day to change dressing help me shower etc. She has gone ours and above to make this a trouble-free and fabulous experience this whole experience has surpassed our expectations and we are already looking forward to coming back.
My husband commented is it month traveling 12,000km (round trip) to see a dentist? He said overwhelming yes to find a dentist with the skillset yon can trust. He is a very happy man and now has a smile to be proud of a smile that he could not afford to buy in Canada!
