My experience was very good over all. I landed in Cancun and was met by a driver since I arrived very late, I was taken to check in to my hotel and met my nurse Ana in the morning.
I had never traveled to another country by plane so everything was new. Ana was very nice and took me for blood work and later in the afternoon my EKG where I met Betty face to face and Gabriel who had been my first contact.
Everyone was very nice they had kept in contact for month’s prior and seemed easer to see me and answer my questions.
The doctor set me at ease, spoke English and help me understand what to expect, I had a day to wait so I explored Cancun. They day of surgery everyone was on time and very helpful even with broken English nurses were patient with my IV the anesthesiologist was very pretty and so relaxed, she helped me choose what I wanted and made it comfortable. I was all almost painless. After it was over and I wake up in my room I had nurses help me walk, go to the bathroom, make sure I was comfortable.
When I returned to the hotel, I met two other patient and we made friends and helped look after each other and keep company. Ana checked on us every day and stayed in touch through WhatsApp so did Betty and Gabriel.
When I had an issue the doctor even came to my room to take care of me so I would be okay
The next time I need work done I am coming back.
The hotel was clean the staff was super nice all the maids were very good with medical patient and understanding.
I could not walk far so I had food in the restaurant and the waiters were very nice I felt like family when mine was far away during Christmas and I was lonely
