I give My Medical Vacations an A+ all the way – from my very first email to them asking for information to the time I got on the plane to go home. All emails were answered quickly Katie and Andres responded to emails and phone calls quickly and efficiently, answered each and every question I had and generally made me feel completely comfortable. This was my first time travelling to Mexico, and I was doing it alone, but they assured me that I was in good hands.

I used the Medicard Financing option – that too was fast and efficient – I was approved within 24 hours of sending in my application and had the cheque in my hands a week later. I would recommend this too for anyone thinking about having procedures done but don’t have all the cash at hand.

When I arrived in Mexico, I was picked up at the airport and taken to the hotel – which is right next to the My Medical Vacation Office and literally 5 minutes away from the hospital. The hotel was very nice, very clean and comfortable. All doctors’ appointments, laboratory appointments and other tests were already booked and I was taken to all of these, as well as to the hospital on the day of my surgery. The hospital was amazing, VERY clean and the staff was gentle, responsive and very attentive. I got all the medication as and when I needed. The food at the hospital wasn’t too bad and I loved the private room that I was in.

After my surgery, I was taken back to the hotel. I had an amazing Nurse who came in each morning. She helped me change dressings, take a shower, have breakfast, did my laundry for me and very patiently wheeled me around. My recovery was made so much easier because of this and I was very grateful to have her help. Andres had told me about the Meal Plan which they have just introduced – lunch and dinner cooked by a personal chef who is very passionate about the food that he creates. Food that is meant to help nourish and heal you after your surgery. The food was AMAZING – so tasty and more that I could finish at each meal – with fresh vitamin and fruit water that the chef created each day – all delivered to you for just $20 a day. I am so glad that I went with the food plan – I truly feel that the food helped nourish and make me stronger faster.

Dr. Victor Samano was my surgeon. He performed a tummy tuck with liposuction and breast reduction and lift. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Samano. From the first time I met him, he set my mind at ease, he was so knowledgeable, answered all my questions without making me feel like I was being a pain. His bedside manner was outstanding. All follow up appointments were on time, he was always very attentive and reassuring.
